The village of Kapikiri is built on the ruins of the ancient city of Heraklia, and today's houses are in many cases directly based on old foundations. Stones from the surrounding ruins were used to build new houses, walls, streets and property areas. Although Heraklia was found in Ionia, Heraklia was a characteristic Carian city and its history was created by Caria events.

You will be picked up from your hotel/accommodation and enjoy the views along the journey to the village restaurant in Kapıkırı, Heraklia where you will enjoy a Traditional Turkish breakfast,  or other options on the menu, from home grown/made produce,  After breakfast, you can take photos of the superb views on the upper levels and maybe try a cup of Turkish coffee. 

Then walk a little and take in the scenery for more photos or drive down to the waters edge where you will see closely the remains of an ancient monastery, another stop for more amazing photos. Here is where you'll take the boat trip from. You will travel by fishing boat (about 20 minutes) to the Twin Islands where you will stop for 45 minutes and here you'll be able to swim or sit/sunbathe and yet again you can take more amazing photos for your holiday album.   

After returning back to the shore you can take a break and relax in the café for refreshments before taking a slow drive back through the village and return you back to your hotel/accommodation.
